Frequency of Ethnicity and Causative Factors of Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Objective: To determine the frequency of ethnicity and other etiological factors hepatocellular carcinoma. Methodology: This cross-sectional study was conducted at Liaquat University Hospital Hyderabad, Department gastroenterology. The occurred from March 2018 to February 2019 for a total period one year. All patients diagnosed as cases carcinoma; age more than 20 years both genders were included. assessed regarding their risk A self-made proforma used data collection analyzed by using SPSS version 26. Results: 80 carcinoma studied, average 53.12+9.69 years, CLD known duration 05.40+3.90 HCC 01.17+0.79 years. Males in majority 76.3% 40.0% had advanced disease. According cases, Sindhi 70.0%, followed 6.3% Punjabi, 1.3% Pathan, 7.5% Baloch 15.0% others. HCV most common cause 83.8%, HBV, 2 HBV+HDV case HBV co-infection, while four NBNC patients.
